Tamarind Hotel Neyyar Dam

Tamarind hotel run by KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) is a budget hotel, located close to the artificial lake formed by the dam.

The rooms cost just Rs.1000 per day. You can't expect five star facilities in a budget hotel. The views from the rooms and the restaurant are just great. You can see boats taking off in all directions. Occasionally, you can also hear the roars of lions from the Lion Safari Park, an island in the reservoir.

Lots of greenery and a cool climate keep you calm.

At the restaurant, you can slowly enjoy your food while enjoying the picturesque outdoors - the Western Ghats, the water body, etc.

You can also move on foot to the watch tower, the boat jetty, the crocodile breeding center and the dam. Take a boat to go close to the Lion Safari Park.

Poovar Island Resort

Poovar Island Resort is located at Poovar, a great beach and waterside destination in Trivandrum Kerala. Excellent surroundings, fine restaurant, Ayurvedic spa, etc are the chief attractions here.
